I had been thinking about integrating a female dog into my life for some time. My first wish was that I would want her to accompany me wherever she was allowed to go and at the same time have enough energy and vitality to share sporting activities with me.
This last point determined that I ruled out Labrador/Golden type dog profiles which, despite being two breeds that I am very attracted to because of their balance, would not have been able to keep up a constant pace with me when I was cycling. As a consequence I thought that a shepherd dog profile would fit in with my lifestyle and within the group of shepherds I decided on the Spanish Water Dog looking for that special temperament that makes them unique in many aspects. I tried to adopt a PDAE puppy but they anticipated me, finally contacting a breeder of PDAE's in Seville.
