Ethics and morals: Common sense

Ethics and morals: Common sense

There wouldn´t be so many regulations if all citizens had thought capacities based on solid ethical principles and put them into practice (morality).

Today's society, in demographic terms, is far from what it was, for example, fifty years ago. The same territory has experienced a 40% growth in human population: 34.8M (1972) / 47.6M (2022). In the seventies there were not as many pets, mainly dogs, as there are today; if we add to this the increase in the number of cars and the incorporation in cities of other mobility options such as bicycles and scooters, we are facing another complex social reality. Another one to add to the list.

Lead by example:

1- I have always picked up the feces of my dogs susceptible to being stepped on by others.
2- I try to wrap them in paper (less polluting than plastic).
3- When I cycle with my dog and I arrive at an urban center (with a narrow bike way) I get off the bike and walk next to him while he is under control.

I have no doubt that human, as a whole, are the cancer of the planet. I have the sad consolation of being aware of this, even though I am not a 100% environmentally exemplary citizen.

There wouldn´t so many regulations (some of them reflect ignorance) if all citizens had thought capacities based on solid ethical principles and put them into practice (morality).
